I'm not familiar with the Nikon software.
But I've recorded longer videos and imported them using Sony's software (Motion Picture Browser) and there was no problem.
Anyway, if anything goes wrong, it's still best to go back to good old Copy-Paste method.

Archie, thanks for your reply. yes, gotcha on that. have had no problems with importing media. the video file is probably a 20 min file. it appeared to be downloading (i sync with Nikon Picture Project) but at completion the file never 'appeared.' i am wondering if that file is just too long. is there a limit?
