You might wish to review your dietary choices, as it seems the less you eat, the more likely your body goes into "starvation" survival mode, by lowering it's metabolic rate. Then, when you eat food, your body holds onto every calorie it can.

If you are eating (usually) less than 975 kCal a day, your body might be in "survival mode".
