Re: [apple-iphone] Re: Weather Alert USA
I'm glad it works for you. Here's what the author sent me.
The NOAA data feed is currently unreachable from AT&Ts network (3G and
EDGE). As best we can tell, it's a DNS issue with AT&T. The app
currently works when you're connected to any network besides AT&T; it
works fine on WiFi through my home connection, etc. It is not just
affecting our app. If you try to load http://noaa.gov or http://weather.gov
or http://radar.noaa.gov in Safari, it will not load on AT&T. It
will time out. Large portions of the noaa.gov domain are not working
on AT&T. Some sites are working okay, like http://www.srh.noaa.gov,
but many others are not. I've called AT&T customer support, who was
no help. We've notified NOAA's network operations center, but it's
not within their control either. All I can recommend is that you
contact AT&T as well, tell them that you can't access http://
weather.gov or http://noaa.gov on your iPhone when on 3G, but that it
works just fine on WiFi, so they have an issue with their network they
need to address. The more people contacting them with the problem,
the more likely they are to address it.
