Was the toilet clean?
Was it just fresh water that went in there?
If not, better flush it with fresh water first to avoid corrosion.
Then open the sim slot, If you can open it entirely, the better. Then do the "rice" thing.
Do not ever attempt to switch it on without being sure that it is totally dry. Hair dryer may help but be careful not to overheat.
Hopefully it goes OK again in 3 days.

Happened to me twice with different phones. One I took for a dive in the pool. But it was easier to open compared to the iPhone, so it was easier to dry up the inside.
