Allan,

Not sure what is happening then. If you are using mobileme to sync
then the only way changes from your iPhone can update the desktop is
if the "cloud" which is Mobileme then updates the desktop.

Apple typically says if you have syncing problem to "Reset Sync
Data". I don't know if this is going to work in your case because it
appears your data is syncing and that something is going on with your
mobileme account. You may want to give apple support a call and see
if they have any suggestions. If you want to Reset Sync Data first,
go to System Preferences, .Mac,, select the Advanced Tab, then hit
reset sync data at the bottom.
