While I'll probably take a look at the apps for Car Talk and This American Life, I can't really imagine why I'd pay for the apps when most shows offer podcasts.
I've got half a dozen of each stacked up for the next plan trip.
I have noticed that a number of stations now have their own apps and the one I listen to has an option of streaming in the background so that other iPhone functions are still available.
