I own a Kindle 1 & have used a leather cover from oberondesigns.com for about 3 years. (The design is the Tree of Life.) The cover is sturdy and beautifully crafted with a well padded piece over the Kindle's screen. It has a pewter button/bungee closure.

I emailed them over the weekend to see if they were planning to make covers for the ipad. Oberon is going to produce covers for the ipad but can't sell until they get an ipad to make sure the cover doesn't interfere with functions on the pad.

There have been posts about protecting the ipad & screen. I thought I'd let you know that Oberon is working on a cover. If I get an ipad, I'll get an Oberon cover for it.
