Re: [apple-iphone] update on iPhone use in Jamaica
well. I k ownin the states skype will not work over 3g.
u get a message that says it won't work as a result of contractual
problems.
so skype was strictly on wifi fhrough the skype app.
skype has many options. I have uses skype in the past via a headset in
laptop. that was fine. but if someone in room with me. I would keep
them awake. etc.
iPhone skype let me sit in lobby. hallway. etc. even outside hotel
a little. got it to reach me on beach a few times.
skype has it's own phone as well. I think $400 plus. I know some
people who r world travelers and use it all the time.
I added $10 to Magic jak for state calling. it worked fine on island
and off island.
I was in montego bay. all resort areas. all wifi for $15 a day.
I may be doing some business there. If so. I will need a better
system. once I left the premises I was cut off since I disabled roaming
the pressure
thx
