INVESTORS AWARENESS PROGRAMME - 2010 UNDER THE AEGIS OF INVESTOR EDUCATION AND PROTECTION FUND ( IEPF)

Is organizing "Investor Awareness Programme"

 

            Turbulence in the markets, dark clouds over the US economy, crude and dollar movements, inflation all around the country...... For a small investor to digest these events needs education and awareness of money markets.  It is in this background that the Ahmedabad Branch has selected a very apt topic of enhancing Investor Awareness.

 

         It is normally felt, that in such a scenario, it is the small investors who are considered to be the backbone of the markets, face heat the most, and thus turn their back to the market! Is it right, or is it advisable to think wisely and then enter the markets at their bottom?......  Some investors may not be fully aware of the precautions they need to take while dealing with market intermediaries and dealing in different types of securities. They may be unfamiliar with the market mechanism and the practices as well as their rights and obligations. Their education and awareness thus holds the key to reviving and sustaining their interests in the securities market.

 

      In this initiative of the Ahmedabad Branch, it has got an able partner in the form of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt of India.
