Re: [aurangabad_ca] Foreign Subsidiary Company
9:36 PM By Livemail
If We (an Indian Company) want to form a subsidiary company (say in U.S). What would be the tax effect in India (on Indian Holding & foreign subsidiary company)
Further if after few years, the foreign subsidiary company is merged with the Indian Holding company, what would be the effect?

Technically yes if you bought a song (for ex $0.99) you are supposed to pay
another $0.99 to make a ringtone out of part of it. There are ways to do it
without paying if you want to Google "using iTunes to make free ring tones"
- it entails setting the start / stop times and creating an AAC version but
there are detailed step by step blogs..

I know Ultimate Ears makes a few models. You can also buy regular earbuds
from anyone and then purchase a separate adapter. I don't use adapter
earbuds with my iPhone. You can talk into the phone with regular earbuds
and listen through the earbuds when making calls. Quite honestly that works
fine for me.

Re: [apple-iphone] Restoring iPhone
7:59 PM By Livemail
I tried backing up my iPhone today for over 12 hours and it was only
half done. I restored my iPhone and through trial and error got
almost everything back EXCEPT FOR my contacts (I thought they were on
my sim card but they were not). It will be a long process to get them
back.

Re: [apple-iphone] Call/screen blanks when near my head, shows up when I move phone
7:41 PM By Livemail
Yeah. It is not a defect. That is it's feature to save power and to prevent your face from touching any command buttons. Imagine your cheek dropping the call without your intention.
Besides, you do not press any function while it is on your ear, do you? So, you put it in front of you, then the screen reappears, and tap whatever you need to tap.

The phone is designed to do this. It's supposed to go dark when the phone is brought up to your ear. You should eventually hear dialing, but the screen is supposed to go dark. That's not a defect.

Subject: [apple-iphone] Call/screen blanks when near my head, shows up when I move phone
I'm new and I've not been successful at searching for this. I'll initiate a call and when I put the phone near my ear it is silent and the screen is blank. When I move it away, I see it switch from blank to regular call activity. Move it back to ear, it blanks. This must also happen to others.
Explanation?

Re: [apple-iphone] Download limits in Mail

I don't think iPhone has that feature.
That's why I use my Windows Mobile when checking emails on roaming.
Anyway, just do not tap on the attachment and it shall not download by itself. (=

Hi all,
Is there a way to limit the amount of a message that Mail downloads
to the phone? I know that when using the Treo, I could alter
something in settings to limit downloads to 50K or whatever I defined
so I wouldn't have to download large files.
The reason I ask is that I think the reason I had such a large data
charge on a recent trip overseas was because I was being sent large
5-25 MB attachments on my work e-mail address. I want some way of
seeing all my e-mails but not downloading the attachments unless I
specifically need them.
Thanks,
Jay

A censor next to the speaker, will make the screen blank and locked to
prevent unnecessary touch to the screen during a phone call. U can try
to close by finger during a call and see of how it works.

Re: [apple-iphone] iPhone Video File

It is on your Camera Roll.
If you did not set your PC to automatically import media from your device, you have to do it manually.
iPhone appears as a drive. Open it. DCIM folder. It should be there.
