I'm having the same issues....and mine is not even half way filled.
And his occurs in ANYTHING...texting, music, contacts, etc

I was going to do the restore over my spring break...but hey...if there is another alternative??

Thanks!

Hi,

My iphone 3G has recently become quite sluggish. It takes a while (a few

seconds) to switch between apps or sometimes even apps pages.

I'm aware that memory issues can cause this and so I have tested this on

a freshly booted machine. ie I have turned it off and then back on to free

up memory. Its definitely better this way but still slower than I ever

remember it being.

I'm tempted to do the full factory restore option but really don't want to

as I'm sure I will lose some settings/options etc.

So my questions:

Is there anything I can do/test etc prior to doing a full factory restore

that may enable me to prevent doing the full restore?

If I do a full factory restore, is there any way to back up settings such as

wifi access codes that I have programmed in and other subtle settings

Is there any best practice advice on things to do prior to a full restore in

order to minimise the hurt it may cause.

Thanks,

Sid
