I use DVD catalyst 3. It's not free but not too pricey. I tried
handbrake and it would not work for me. Someone suggested the other
one in here so I got it. I am pc based and wanted an easy program.
The support is great as well.

U can try it for free and it will give you a 20 min demo clip to see
if you like it.
