You should try the knocking live apps. They have one for video and one for pictures. I tested it with my original iPhone and was able to send video to my 3GS iphone. It worked a little slow on my original iPhone, but it did work. I haven't tried the live pic 'instant sharing of photos' but I suspect it might work as well. Both the sender and receiver must have knocking app.
