The Reader

I have an odd problem. I have a 3Gs thats a couple of years old. I don't text much, only when my kids text me. It has started not replying or sending MMS off and on. I checked the settings & they are all on. This happens from the same place most of the time. At home with Microcell & full bar 3G. sometimes away from home but still 3G. It's random, sometimes it lets me reply, sometimes not. I suspect that it might be the phone, but everything else on it works fine. Any ideas?
