Does a really good calender that pushes reminders and adds as a nudnik exist
for the iphone? My kids bought me an ipod touch last year and I have been
researching all kinds of calenders.

Most of them have synched with Google calender.

I have found none of them impressive.

I need something to push me to make phone calls and run errands. It has to
be easy to set up and easy to reset reminders. Preferably at the push of a
button. Does such a thing exist for iphone?

Are these calenders not working properly for me because I am using an ipod
touch?

At the moment, I am ashamed to say I have gone back to using the little
calender with its reminders on my cheap Nokia phone. At least it keeps
reminding me to do things... drives my fellow workers nuts when they hear it
ringing... But at least I get things done in the end.

Is there a solution for this? Will I be able to test run it on my ipod touch
before I run out and buy that iphone that I have been hankering for,..

What the heck is a nudnik?

I doubt you can get push notification on an iPod. You might be able to get
email reminders when you are on wifi.

The built in calendar synced with Google Calendar works fine and gives
"push" or pop up notifications, I use it all day every day. It
definitely takes 3-4 steps to reset the reminder to a different time
but is very easy to do - use it on both iPhone and iPad WiFi.

Thought she said iPod Touch, as long as there was a data connection at
some point and the Google Calendar synced to the phone the reminders
pop up just as if they were "pushed' they are stored on the phone when
the events are synced. My iPad doesn't have data connection when I am
in the car, etc and the events still pop up the same as they do on my
iPhone.

Would push notification work on the iphone?

A nudnik is someone that pesters you until you do what they want...

I have a very hectic lifestyle. The normal Apple calender with reminders
just doesn't seem to do it for me... I really wanted to test it on the ipod
touch before I bought...

Since I upgraded my 3gs to 4 I can't turn off Pandora. Used to be that it would close when I went to another program such as Notes, etc. Now I have to turn the whole phone off or put it on pauswhich I would think drains the battery. I've tried deleting and reinstalling. Any ideas? Thanks. Dick Mankin

It is running in the background, either stop it before pressing home
or once you press home to get to home screen, double tap home fast
then you will see the multitasking bar then tap and hold the Pandora
icon until it wiggles and X it out of the multitasking bar to fully
kill it from running. All music programs now run in the background
now so you can multitasking while listening...

This sometimes happens to me.

I sometimes plug my iPhone into the wall plug to recharge it. It is the iPad charger. The phone does not show that it is charged (or charging) when I take it off the charger. If I reboot my phone it then shows that is fully charged. I am not sure why this happens but it does. I know the iPad charger is more powerful but still I am not sure why this happens

 How would I use my computer and sync my purchase
 over using iTunes if I can't download them via my iPhone app store?

 I've heard of people saying that but never heard the

There are three or so case styles from OtterBox available for iPhones. Each offers a different level of protection for the phone, with the Defender being a three piece case with belt clip holder.

I think that most likely either
1. The plug was not securely in the wall socket or
2. The cord was not securely in the plug or
3. The socket itself is either defective or lost power.

Some new laptops stop providing power on their USB ports
when you close them. This is to save their battery. The sleep
or hibernation mode also stops all running programs too.

I assume that Jim and coco mean charger when they say socket. Meaning the charger maybe defective.

This *is* a possibility, but I mean the socket the charger was plugged into when I said "socket"....

On re-thinking it, if the same charger failed in different sockets, the socket is unlikely to be the problem (unless the fuse/breaker common to the sockets tried had failed).

The USB plug could be *in* the charger enough to not fall out, but perhaps not *all the way* in, making good electrical connection.

hi,

I have the unlimited data service thru AT&T, and lately I have noticed
that my data connection comes and goes. Sometimes no connection at all,
most of the time - only "Edge" and sometimes "3G"....
It's a brand new 3GS which I purchased back in February.
Is my phone going bad on me ?

I've tried rebooting but that doesn't seem to help.
It's pretty bad wheh I try to download something thru the APP store and get the message that "there is no internet connection available" and I have to either wait for the connection to reappear or switch to my WIFI...

any ideas ?
