Every iPhone (and any smart phone) MUST have a data plan - you can't remove
it unless you change to a non smart phone and if you do remove it and try
and put the SIM card in an iPhone (or Android, etc) for more than a few
minutes the system will automatically add a data plan to the line.

So, to answer my second question - lol
You are recommending that I get back on unlimited and pay the extra $5 (that I just saved on messaging) to protect future data needs?
Thanks again, Mark

Right now - very few if any people 'normally' go over 2GB. Those who do are
rarely on WiFi, use a lot of audio and/or video streaming, etc OR are
'jailbroken' and are using tethering off contract terms. The problem is
that in the feature as apps become more data intensive and audio/video
streaming becomes more prevalent those with 2GB (or other) caps will have to
start being a lot more careful. Currently I have unlimited data plans on
Verizon and AT&T and intend to keep them unless I am forced off as I do use
quite a bit of data - my Verizon phone has the 'hot spot' feature so I can
use my iPad, MB Air or even iPhone WiFi to access the Verizon data network
and I do download and/or stream quite a few podcasts to my iPhone (I haven't
listened to my car radio or cd player since I got my original iPhone).

I think this is a tough call.
For me.....yes.....I like the cushion of knowing I can go the salad bar and
eat all I want.
My analogy.
The pressure

Can anyone tell me please where the backup files for iPhone are in Windows 7? I can't locate them at all. Ex-Win XP user - easy to find in XP.
