BILL BOULWARE Re: [apple-iphone] Ringtone
THANK YOU for that info on finding out about upgrading! I am sure I know the answer to this, but if it says "You may select equipment at our full retail pricing", that means for me to get one of the NEW iPhones when available it will cost me $599 (unless I wait until 12/2010)? OMG!

Those are correct, I just searched through and found my original post - one
very important one that wasn't listed on that article is the code to find
out if you are eligible for "full" upgrade discount pricing, partial upgrade
discount pricing, or no discount upgrade pricing - it specifically states
iPhones but really applies to any AT&T line (brief reminder the iPhone
discounts are $400 - full discount & $200 partial discount so for the
current line up an 8GB 3G is $99 at full discount, $299 at partial discount,
$499 at no discount, 16GB 3GS is $199, $399, or $599, and 32GB 3GS is $299,
$499, or $699 - if Apple / AT&T stays with this pricing strategy it is
likely the next updates will be a 16GB 3GS for $99/$299/$499, a 32GB iPhone
4th Gen for $199/$399/$599 or a 64GB 4th Gen for $299/$499/$699 but at this
point are just guesses based on the past releases.
The code is *639# Call then tap dismiss, you will receive a text message
with the date of your upgrade pricing and will be of interest to those who
are looking forward to upgrading to next generation phones due late
June/early July.
This will either be 12 months and a day, 18 months and a day, or 24 months
and a day depending on the plan / total cost of your line per month. If
your phone is the primary line, has a data plan, and unlimited messaging (in
other words over $100/mo) you qualify every year, if it is a primary line or
a secondary line over $60/mo but less than $100 per month it is 18 months
and all others are around 24 months - those aren't set it stone and can vary
based on credit history, if you have ever missed a payment, had a phone
upgrade out of cycle, etc.
To reiterate four types of forwarding are below and to 'undo' each one it is
*code*number# Call and to remove it is ##code# Call
- Immediate Call Forwarding: Dial *21* plus the 10-digit number to which
your calls should be forwarded and #. Press Send.
- Busy Call Forwarding: Dial *67* plus the 10-digit number to which your
calls should be forwarded and #. Press Send.
- Call Forwarding No Reply: Dial *61* plus the 10-digit number to which
your calls should be forwarded and #. Press Send.
- Call Forwarding Not Reachable: Dial *62* plus the 10-digit number to
which your calls should be forwarded and #. Press Send.
