You can go to the explorer directly (if your using windows). iphone is usually considered as an external drive. You can check out the tree..You would find your iphone's name on the drive. Then, just browse into the folders, you can delete them manually.

I do a lot of things with photos on my phone and I now have 7 folders in my Photo cache that I cannot delete. I tried synching with itunes, but the pictures didn't delete. Any ideas?
