[apple-iphone] solar charger | was: this is interesting
This sounds like and awesome idea. My husband and I ride a motorcycle and on long rides I have always been concerned what happens if we are in the boonies and our phone battery died (this was pre-iPhone days). But still, for someone riding a motorcycle you don't have a lot of battery charging options available :-) I mean where is the cigarette lighter? (Or do we have one?) Heck I dunno, maybe we do. Ken?
But to have a solar charging option would be grand. I wonder about the durability of the solar panels in the unit. How long would it be before it breaks, cracks, gets scratched to the point of being useless. If one solar cell burns out then what? Are the cells "consumer" replaceable?
